Winnie holds Bachelor/ Master Degrees in Education from East Stroudsburg University where she was a leader of Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship and the University of Scranton. She also attended Chi- Alpa Ministry classes at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and has completed ministry courses from Berean School of the Bible. She was a classroom teacher for 35 years at Valley View School District where she also helped write curriculum, taught Teacher Development classes, served on community/ school committees , and at a PA state level participated in developing and evaluating PA State Writing Assessments ,and served on NEIU 19 PA State Writing Assessment teacher materials committee.
A life-long attender/ member of PAG , Winnie has served in and led ministries of Christian Education, Children’s Ministry, Youth/ Coffehouse Outreach, Choir, and Drama at PAG where she directed /taught Sunday School classes, Leadership Training classes and Vacation Bible Schools. She has served in Penn-Del District ministries of Youth Camps , Chi-Alpha Campus Ministry , Singles Ministries , and Christian Education as counselor, and workshop leader. She began and led NEPA Crossfire Singles Ministries from 1985-1989. She has worked with Family Festival Ministries in conducting leadership seminars, children’s evangelistic services, and writing/ editing children’s ministry materials. In Fall 2009, after retiring from 35 years of teaching at Valley View School District, she began and was administrator/ teacher of Vision School of Ministry at PAG . She has done substitute / part-time teaching at The Geneva School, Summit Christian Academy and Scranton Christian Academy.
Currently, Winnie volunteers as receptionist / grant writer at PAG . She also teaches Core Classes and Berean School of the Bible courses, writes and directs drama productions, leads a small group, and helps in special events .
She lives with her sister, Sue, and dog, Buster, in Peckville.
