"A Vision for the Future"

Peckville Assembly of God has secured the services of MasterPlan Stewardship, AG Financial, Springfield, Missouri, to assist in raising funds and pledges for the new church building over the next three years. The Campaign Team started meeting in January 2007 in preparation for the introduction of the Team and Casting of the Vision to the congregation on Sunday, February 25th.

On Sunday, April 15th, 2007, the focus was on "Looking Back". The history and heritage of Peckville Assembly of God was illustrated in word and drama. The Financial Goals for the campaign were revealed:
·Challenge Goal -- $350,000
·Faith Goal -- $600,000
·Miracle Goal -- $1,000,000

Sunday, April 22, 2007, the focus of the message was on "Looking Up". In order for the "new church" to be all that the Lord wants it to be, we need to keep our eyes on the Lord's plan and the reason for His putting this vision in the hearts of our Pastors.

On Friday, April 27, 2007, those people who were prepared to make their 3-year pledge met at an event at the Montdale Country Club, to provide their Advanced Commitments. 50 pledges were received totaling $118,000, with another pledge to match the "First Fruits Offering" which would be received on Celebration Sunday, May 6th.

Sunday, April 29, 2007, "Looking Out" to the mission field the Lord has provided in this great Mid-Valley area. The goal of this new building is to present the opportunity for all to hear the message of salvation and the truth of the saving grace of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Saturday, May 5, 2007, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., there was a Prayer Vigil. Time was spent praying for needs that were received throughout the campaign, as well as for every step of the process to completion of the building.

Celebration Sunday, May 6, 2007, was a great time of celebration and excitement as families shared their commitments to seeing that the new Peckville Assembly of God became more than a vision. The First Fruits Offering received on that great day was $133,071.18. Pledges for the next 3 years equaled $747,537.40. So, you see, the Lord had already planned that Peckville Assembly of God would exceed the Faith Goal of $600,000.
