VALLEY ADULT CARE CENTER opened on Monday, September 10th, 2007.
MISSION AND GOALS:
To improve the quality of life of individuals who participate in our program.
To provide respite for caregivers and participants.
To provide a community-based alternative to institutionalization which is unnecessary for certain participants.
To promote participant’s functioning to the extent of the person’s ability.
HISTORY OF Valley Adult Care Center....
The Mid-Valley area has long been recognized as a place where families remain for generations. Because of this dedication to family and community, many senior adults and their families struggle to maintain independence.
They need a safe place to be during the day where socialization, nutritious meals and personal care assistance is available.
They need a safe place providing supervision, security and peace of mind. The Valley Adult Care Center was created to assist in meeting these needs by offering a Senior Adult Care Center in our Peckville facility at 545 Keystone Avenue.
HOURS OF OPERATION......
Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
SERVICES PROVIDED.......
Transportation is available within a 10 mile radius of the facility.
One balanced meal is provided to those attending 4 or more hours in a day.
Activities are planned on a daily basis.
A safe and secure environment is one of our greatest strengths.
A family-type, friendly atmosphere will make you feel welcome.
Day trips will also be planned to meet the interests of our clients.
Special social events will be planned.
Valley Adult Care Center is staffed with professional caring individuals specifically trained to meet the needs of our participants.
Staff/Participant ratio is 1 to 7 , which insures the attention which is desired by most who are looking for this type of setting.
FEES:
$50/day—basic fee
$25 per 1/2 day—basic fee
$20/day—transportation to and from participant’s home within 10 mile radius of the facility
ADMISSION CRITERIA:
Be sixty years of age or older
Be in need of services, as determined by an intake screening process
Be capable of being transported to and from the service site
Be in need of a structured program of activities or services.
An individual may be admitted only after an Intake Screening has been completed in accordance with State Regulations governing the operation of Older Adult Daily Living Centers.
